Line of thunderstorms now rolling through the area.
At 4:30 am, the strongest part of the line of storms was across SE Tuscaloosa County, South Jefferson and St. Clair approaching Shelby and Bibb County.
Lots of lightning, heavy rain and strong gusty winds. Strongest gust so far at the Downtown Birmingham Skycam, 35 mph.
The weather should settle down in the immediate Birmingham area soon although showers will continue.
