That strong thundestorm that moved across North Jefferson County is now over into extreme east and NE Jefferson County and moving into St. Clair and Eastern Blount County. It is pouring rain.

The temperature in NE Trussville has dropped all the way down to 72 degrees because of extremely heavy rain and high winds. Visibility was as low as 1/2 mile in the rain and I feel sure there was some street flooding. The heaviest of the rain has also spread across much of St. Clair County. Wind gusts were estimated at over 45 mph in NE Trussville.

Doug Bennet, the 33/40 Skywatcher for Leeds, was still reporting very heavy rain with heavy lightning and thunder.

We will still be watching some more widespread rather strong thunderstorms moving eastward from Mississippi. They are moving very slowly and are erratic. There is also a band of heavy rain from NE Jefferson County all the way up to Ft. Payne.
