Showers have increased in number late this afternoon, including a few thunderstorms. They still cover only a small percentage of the state. We pinpoint just a few.
* Over NE Jefferson between Pinson, Center Point and Tarrant producing heavy rain over a small area.
* Over SE Tuscaloosa County SW of Vance and SE of Coaling
* Over NE Talladega County between Oxford and the community of McElderry
* Over SE Marshall County
* Down south over Northern Butler County north of Greenville. That one has been there over an hour and probably has produced very heavy rain.
* Another shower was growing stronger in the western tip of Jefferson County near Oak Grove.
Very little movement and what movement there is, is variable. Most of them will dump their rain in about the same area.
