A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was in effect for part of Bibb, Chilton and Shelby Counties until 6:15.

At 6:25 p.m. there was still a thundertorm in progress between Montevallo and Calera over South Shelby County. A new small storm has formed over the east edge of Jefferson County just west of Leeds and east of the Irondale area. It is showing slow, variable movement.

The thunderstorm that fooled around for a long time over extreme West Fayette County has weakened.

A new small storm has formed over the SW corner of Winston County and a new shower was forming over the SW tip of Blount County near Smokerise. These storms are moving very little.

The strongest storms this afternoon have been down over SE Alabama, especially in Lee and Russell Counties. Earlier this afternoon Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were in effect for both of those counties.

In NE Alabama, the shower over the SE corner of Etowah County east of Hokes Bluff has just about disippated.
