Not as many showers and thunderstorms around Central Alabama as earlier this afternoon, but a small heavy one was moving northward east of the Birmingham area and about ready to cross I-20 between Leeds and Pell City. Very heavy rain, but not a real large storm.
Over East/Central Alabama heavy rain was falling over East Chambers County, mostly east of Lafayette. Most of those showers were moving NE. The one between Leeds and Pell City will move up toward Odenville and Ashville.
Meanwhile, down in South Alabama, there were some strong storms over Monroe, Clarke and Washington Counties extending eastward to Butler and Crenshaw Counties. Those, too, were moving northward.
