Showers and thunderstorms in Alabama have overall decreased. Some of the stronger ones at 6:30 were in the central part of the state between Birmingham and Clanton. Others were over the Northeast corner. Other strong ones were over the extreme south.
Most of the western half of Alabama was free of showers at 6:30.
However, we are still watching a long line of thunderstorms that extended from extreme West Tennessee, across the Memphis area, across extreme Southeast Arkansas and into North and West Louisiana. This line of storms is along a cold front that will be moving across Alabama late tonight and early Thanksgiving morning.
Ahead of the front, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 11:00 pm for:
A large part of Mississippi
Extreme West Tennessee
Much of Louisiana
The watch extends as far east as the Northwest Alabama border.
NWS in Mobile issued a Tornado Warning for Perry County in Southeast Mississippi (repeat Perry County in Mississippi, not the Alabama Perry County).
Thunder now heard in Northeast Jefferson County in the Trussville area.
