Rains of 3-6 inches are possible with the storm, but with the acceleration and serious disorganization, I would think higher amounts are unlikely. Beneficials rains are falling in Florida and across southern Georgia, an area that has been plagued by wildfires during the past month.
A storm surge of 3-5 feet is expected to the right of landfall.
Landfall should occur north of Tampa around noon today.
Barry should lose tropical characteristics later today, but the remnant low will spread rain and wind up the East Coast, reaching the Boston area by Monday afternoon.
