Most of the stronger thunderstorms and heavier showers in NW Alabama have diminished or moved into NE Mississippi.

However, at 7:15 pm a strong thunderstorm over North Limestone County prompted the NWS/Huntsville to post a Significant Weather Alert for Limestone County until 7:45

Soon after 7 pm, the strong storm, nearly stationary, was 8 miles NW of Athens. This storm has already dumped an estimated 1 to 2 inches of rain. An additional 1/2 to one inch is possible.
