A north-south line of showers (and some thunderstorms) extends almost all the way down the state at 7:30 am.
The line extends from West of Huntsville to Cullman through West Jefferson and East Tuscaloosa County all the way to Gulf Shores. However, there is quite a break in the line south of Centreville, Line moving eastward.
The heaviest rain:
* Morgan County south to Cullman
* Pouring rain across West Jefferson County west of Birmingham. Look for some heavy rain in parts of the Birmingham Metro area within the next hour.
Lightning activity has increased some in the last hour or so.
