That line of intense thunderstorms continues working its way slowly east and SE across North Alabama.

At 9:35, the line extended from midway between Decatur and Huntsville, to near Moulton in Lawrence County, across the SE edge of Franklin County, to near Hamilton in Marion County and on down into Mississippi.

NWS/Huntsville issued a Special Weather Statement until 10:15 concerning these counties:

….Jackson
….Limestone
….Madison

It is also called a Significant Weather Alert and falls short of a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. There will be strong gusty winds in those counties and possible hail.

The entire state of Alabama continues under a Slight Risk of severe weather today and tonight.

We still think it will be noon or shortly thereafter when the line of storms reaches the I-59 corridor, including Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.
