Light rain has spread into extreme North Alabama. At 1:00 this afternoon, it was raining in the Florence/Muscle Shoals area as well as Huntsville, Decatur and Cullman.

This is due to a cold front that was near the NW corner of Alabama.

Further north and west, the rain is a little more extensive and it is cooler behind the front. At 1:00, it was only 57 degrees in Jackson, Tennessee and Memphis and 55 at Utica, Mississippi. It was also 55 at Hopkinsville, Kentucky. It was raining in all of those places and the wind had already shifted to the north.

Meanwhile, south of the front, it was 85 degrees at such places as Montgomery, Evergreen, Eufaula and Baton Rouge.
