COLD FRONT BASED ON 9 PM REPORTS

Our much advertised cold front extended from South Arkansas northeastward across NW Mississippi and Tennessee.

The front has still not reached Alabama but it should move into the Extreme NW soon.

At 9 pm, it was 41 in Huntsville while at the same time Nashville had 30 and Clarksville, Tenn., NW of Nashville 24. Their 24 degrees was accompanied by north winds gusting to 24 so the Clarksville wind chill was 11.

In Nashville, the official forecast calls for a low by morning of 15, high tomorrow only 20, and low tomorrow night and even zero!

SPOT REPORTS AT 9 PM
37 Memphis, wind north to 28 mph, wind chill 27
27 Dyersburg, Tenn., wind north 18, wind chill 13
24 Clarksville, Tenn., north gusts to 24, wind chill 11

Interesting that every single weather station in all of Iowa and Minnesota reporting below zero at 9 pm.

USA WEDNESDAY EXTREMES

Here in Birmingham and across Central Alabama, the temperature should be in the 20s at daybreak with a brisk north wind. Parts of North Alabama will barely recover to freezing tomorrow.
