The big eye in the sky shows that a blanket of clouds covers nearly the north 3/4ths of Alabama late this morning.
Based on radar images, rain is falling over about the north third of the state, BUT!
Not all of that rain is reaching the ground. Some light rain was reported late this morning at places like Muscle Shoals, Haleyville, and and also at Coker in West Tuscaloosa County.Movement was steadily toward the east.
Overnight 0.06 was recorded at Crossville and Huntsville.
The blanket of clouds has said “nothing doing” to the ole backyard thermometers. Temperatures have been held to the 40s over the north so far–cooler than expected.
But the day is far from over.
