Lots of severe storm reports coming out of Oklahoma, Arkansas and North Louisiana late tonight. Just a few of many:
* Confirmed tornado Mena, Arkansas. Downtown area hard hit and 30 National Guard troops dispatched.
* Hail described as “apple size” three inches in diameter in the area SW of Mena.
* In Miller County, Arkansas, an oil rig was turned upside down.
* Arkansas State Police vehicle damaged by large hail and flying debris northwest of Junction City, Arkansas. It was described as 1 and 1/4 inch in diameter.
* About five miles NNW of Shreveport, the Lakeview subdivision was hit. Trees on houses and street blocked.
* Intense and severe thunderstorms continue over parts of Arkansas and North Louisiana. Overdosed with way too much lightning. Scary.
We will be dealing with severe weather in Alabama tomorrow (Friday) so I must hit the sack for a 5-hour super power nap and store up some energy.
