Most of Alabama is dry at this very early hour. However, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms were in progress over the extreme north mostly from about Russellville and Florence eastward to about the Huntsville area.

Moving toward the ENE.

This was part of a stronger cluster of storms passing across Middle Tennessee, especially east of the Nashville area. Considerable lightning in that area.

Overall, we will have a better chance of getting some showers and thunderstorms today especially over about the north 1/3 of Alabama.
