Showers getting an earlier start in Central Alabama as compared to yesterday.
At 1:30, they were not numerous at all but scattered ones were in progress at several places across Central and part of South Alabama. One of the larger showers, moderate to heavy, was near Union Springs.
Nearest one to Birmingham was a small but moderate shower along the Jefferson/Tuscaloosa County near Oak Grove.
These will be increasing some as the afternoon goes on and today they seem to be interested in moving from southeast toward the northwest.
