At 1209 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Emerald Mountain, or 8 miles east of Wetumpka, moving east at 5 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Wetumpka, Tallassee, Eclectic, Santuck, Emerald Mountain, Blue Ridge,
Kowaliga Bridge, Dexter, Martin Dam, Western Lake Martin, Southern
Lake Martin, Claud, Central, Ware, Yates Reservoir and Yates Dam.
