The strong thunderstorms that formed this morning across North/Central Alabama, in places like Cullman and Winston Counties, moved east into NW Georgia. The Storm Prediction Center issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for part of North Georgia and continued the one for Middle and East Tennessee.

However, so far Alabama has not had to deal with a severe thunderstorm watch.

Early this afternoon some other storms were developing from extreme NE Shelby County south of Leeds northeastward to near the St. Clair/Calhoun County line and then into Cherokee County. The stronger ones were along the St. Clair/Calhoun County line and over South Cherokee County south of Centre. Everything is moving east.
