The intense thunderstorms moving through the greater Birmingham area now are extremely dangerous. Actually there are two lines affecting Jefferson County: a shorter line already moving across the area and still another stronger line approaching from the west.
These storms have the capacity to cause widespread wind damage, so please take cover. The lightning is intense.
* Flooding rain is reported in Bluff Park. The 33/40 Skywatcher has received 0.93 in only 23 minutes and 1.32 inches so far. She reports flooding in her area.
Check our BLOG frequently. We will have frequent updates. Bill is posting the current warnings while en route from Memphis back to Birmingham and I will be posting some supplementary information.
