For the second night in a row, some strong thunderstorms will be visiting some of Alabama’s easternmost counties.

Only difference…last night they were moving toward the SSE. Tonight they are moving toward the SW.

At 10:40 pm, some of the thunderstorms had crossed over from Georgia into East Alabama. Strongest storm, with the heaviest rain was along the Clay-Randolph County line passing near, or a bit to the NW of Roanoke. These storms will also be moving into NE Tallapoosa County.

Lots of lightning also.

NWS/Birmingham has posted a Significant Weather Alert for Clay and Randolph County till 11 pm. Possibility of some hail up to 1/2 inch in diameter and winds up to about 45 mph.
