High clouds blowing off from thunderstorms to the northwest of Alabama have invaded western sections of the state this afternoon.

We still have filtered sunshine in most spots west of I-65, with more sunshine over eastern sections.

No rain on radar in Alabama. Some storms were along I-40 in Tennessee west of Nashville.

Storms and more clouds will enter northwestern sections this evening and spread southward over night. Rain will be possible late tonight in Central Alabama.

Temperatures in the I-20 corridor were in the 90s.

The high clouds should not affect fireworks displays across Central Alabama and things should remain dry through the evening hours.

It will become more humid with temperatures slowly falling back through the 80s heading for lows in the lower 70s overnight.
