For the first time in several hours, there are no severe weather warnings for any county in the state.

However, there are plenty of big thunderboomers still around.

Based on a regional radar analysis at 6:00 p.m., there were more showers and thunderstorms within the borders of Alabama than any other state in the SE.

Over on the west side of the state, showers and storms were numerous and a broad band from near Decatur and Moulton in the north southward all the way to Mobile and Gulf Shores.

Over on the east side of the state rather numerous showers and some storms extended from Etowah County down to East/Central Alabama to the Montgomery area and still others in the extreme south. Heavy rain is occurring in almost all of the stronger storms.

To the west of Alabama, there is still a short line of storms through East/Central Mississippi and everything is moving toward the ENE. Those East Mississippi storms have actually increased in intensity in the last few minutes.

We have seen no confirmed reports of significant damage this afternoon. It is always possible that some of the reports could be delayed.

In the lightning department, there is still plenty of that in West/Central and SW Alabama and over part of NE Alabama.

We will try to post a few rain amounts, but most of the reports will not be in until after 7:30.
