I am not exactly sure what a cadre is, but I think it might apply to the area of showers still moving northwestward through East Central Alabama tonight.
Showers extend from south of Rockford to north of Tallassee.
Others are located along I-85 between Montgomery and Shorter.
Heavier showers are over southern Macon and Bullock Counties between Shorter and Midway.
A heavy shower was passing just south of the Gadsden Airport. It will pass between Attalla and Steele.
Lighter showers extend from Talladega to north of Anniston and on into northern Cleburne County.
A lone shower was west of I-65 in Morgan County, west of Hartselle.
Everything is moving northwest at about 10 mph. It is being supported by an upper disturbance that is well to the southwest of Alabama.
As an aside…all these showers are illegal. They were not supposed to form until tomorrow. We do expect widely scattered showers tomorrow across the area.
Things will get interesting in the tropics over the next three weeks. I predict we willsee at least two named storms and perhaps three before the end of the month.
