NWS/Huntsville issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North Lauderdale County until 2 o’clock. Lauderdale is the northwestern-most county in Alabama. The thunderstorm, which was located 13 miles west of Lexington, was moving east at only 5 mph. It may produce gusts over 60.

A long thin line (not a solid line by any description) extended almost all the way up and down the west side of Alabama from the Florence-Russellville area in the NW, down to about Demopolis and all the way to Monroeville. Long breaks in the line. Besides NW Alabama, some of the heaviest showers were over the west edge of Marengo County.

Most were moving slowly north or NE.

Not many showers over the east half of Alabama.
