Scattered thunderstorms were already developing early this afternoon. At 12:30 p.m., most of those were along the Jefferson/Walker County line extending NE into South Cullman and SW Blount County near Smokerise. Others were along the Winston-Marion County line northward into Franklin and Colbert County in NW Alabama.
Still others were down in Central Alabama from South Chilton County southward to Autauga, Lowndes and Butler Counties.
These showers and storms were in no hurry at all and were moving only slowly toward the NNW. Some were hardly moving at all as if trying to be good to certain communities.
