Bud Bean, the ABC 33/40 Skywatcher for Northport reports 1.21 inches of rain at 4:39 pm with heavy rain still in progress.

In West Alabama, heavy rain extends from the Northport-Tuscaloosa area westward into SW Tuscaloosa County as well as North Greene and South Pickens County
Slow movement.
A storm also over Central Marengo County with heavy rain.
Up in the NE corner of Alabama, strong thunderstorms in Jackson County and the NWS/Huntsville has issued a Significant Weather Advisory until 5:15.
