* The National Weather Service in Birmingham continues a Tropical Storm Wind Warning for portions of Central Alabama late tonight through mid-morning Monday,

* A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for a part of Central Alabama. The Flash Flood Watch is for the following counties:
Autauga
Barbour
Bullock
Chilton
Dallas
Elmore
Lowndes
Macon
Montgomery
Pike

* Tropical Storm Claudette will move into Central Alabama late tonight, but will have a very small high wind core. Tropical storm force winds will be possible after midnight through mid-morning Monday as the center of Claudette moves toward the NW through Central Alabama. Gusty winds may cause some weak trees to fall and power lines may be affected. Isolated weak tornadoes are also possible in the north and east outer bands well ahead of the storm.

* 9,000 people are reported without power in Panama City. One person was also drowned there this afternoon.

* Radar shows that the long band of showers that circulated north westward from the coast was across West/Central and NW Alabama from near Livingston to Jasper to Guntersville. They have weakened considerably.

* A current look at Dopplre radar along the coast indicates the center of circulation from Claudette is moving almost due west, but may be a little north of due west and was passing south of Valparaiso which hints that the landfall could occur between Pensacola and Ft. Walton. However, please instead refer to the National Hurricane Center Advisory on projected landfall.
