Widely scattered thunderstorms continued to develop across Alabama this afternoon, but they are not as numerous as they were yesterday at this time.

Just before 2:00 p.m., some of the better showers and storms were..

* Over South Cherokee County in NE Alabama

* Near where the Tuscaloosa-Fayette-Walker County line intersects SW of Jasper and east of Fayette

* Over Monroe County in extreme South Alabama.

There were a number of other smaller showers. If we were to describe every one, you would have to read a long time.

Bottom line: just a small percentage of the state is receiving rain at this hour. It appears that almost all of the showers were moving slowly toward the NW.
