Far to the south, NWS/Mobile has a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Mobile County. The storm was over Mobile bay moving NW and moving toward Dog River and Brookley Field. May have penny size hail and gusts over 60.
NWS/Birmingham posted a Significant Weather Alert for Marengo County in West Alabama until 4:30. Storms were lined up across SE Marengo County and moving NW.
A number of other moderate to strong storms around the state. All seem to be moving toward the NW. One storm has grown stronger on the Etowah-Marshall county line moving NW toward Guntersville.
A small thunderstorm has formed just west of Downtown Birmingham.
