Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms were in progress across Alabama, mostly across Central and South Alabama.
A group of moderate to heavy showers developed from near Tuscaloosa eastward to just south of Birmingham and then NE to near Gadsden. Moving NE.
Showers were more numerous over the south third of the state. These were also moving NE.
We can credit Miss Claudette for most of this. She brought lots of moist air into the state. Daytime heating will work with
that to set off scattered showers and thunderstorms every day through at least Friday.
