Not much change in Alabama weather for the last several hours.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue but at 6:30 this evening they were rather widely separated. Last evening at this time torrential rain was the story from Shelby County northeastward into St. Clair County.

We don’t have a repeat of that so far.

At 6:30, the heaviest showers were:

….Dekalb County in NE Alabama
….Macon County in SE Alabama. Those Macon County storms seem to have the most lightning.

The showers and storms will slowly diminish as the night goes on. However we expect showers and storms tobe numerous at times Thursday and Friday and then a very nice weekend ahead.

Mostly sunshine and less humid over the weekend with some lows in the low to mid 60s.
