The cool front is about to reach the Birmingham area tonight.
Showers continue from Albertville and Gadsden back down to Birmingham. Another line of showers is over East Alabama from Calhoun and Cleburne Counties into Talladega County. Other showers are over Clay County.
Early evening showers dumped a quick 0.16 inches here, pushing our total for the day in Trussville to 0.63 inches. There is one more good shower ready to pass through.
The dewpoint at Birmingham is 70F. At Muscle Shoals, it is already down to 59F. At Dyersburg, TN, it is 52.
Skies should start to clear by morning. The drier air should leave partly cloudy skies during the day tomorrow.
Lows tonight will drop into the lower and middle 60s. Look for lower to middle 80s tomorrow.
Things will be dry Monday and Tuesday. An upper low could give us more clouds and a slight chance of a shower or storm Wednesday through Friday. Fairly nice conditions look likely for the Labor Day weekend.
