The band of light rain earlier noted has moved northward into the Tennessee Valley late this afternoon.

A band of scattered showers with a few rumbles of thunder has developed from the Tuscaloosa area back through Bibb, Perry, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes and Montgomery Counties.

To the south, a more solid area of rain and some thunderstorms is over Southwest Alabama. The northern extent of this activity is now into southern Marengo, Wilcox, Monroe and Conecuh Counties.

Our low is still located in the Houston area thia afternoon. A large plume of moisture is spreading into the southeast to the right of the low. At the lower levels of the atmosphere, we still have northeasterly winds over North Central Alabama, which is helping to prevent the moisture flume from edging into the area just yet.

I think we will see increasing overrunning rains and embedded storms as we go through the overnight tonight and head into Monday.
