More than 5 inches of rain fell in parts of the Warrior and Coosa river basins March 25 amid severe storms and heavy rains that affected the region.
Alabama Power is operating spillway gates at Weiss, Henry, Logan Martin, Lay, Mitchell and Jordan dams on the Coosa River. These efforts will help manage flows and rising lake levels.
The company is working closely with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to monitor and implement flood control operations.
