NWS continues a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 1:15 pm for:
….Extreme SE Chilton County
….South Coosa County
….NW Elmore County
At 12:55, some of the strongest thunderstorms in the state were over Coosa, South Talladega and Elmore County.
Moving generally NE.
Earlier, there several damage reports from North Chilton. A comment on the 3340 blog indicated he saw a tornado touchdown along US 31 in the Lomax area with lots of debris in the air including metal roofing, shingles and leaves.
Most of the stronger storms are now of Chilton County now.
We have a lot more showers and storms to deal with the rest of the week and probably through the weekend.
