Much quieter night across Alabama tonight.

Showers have formed over West Central Alabama and are moving northward along the Bibb/Hale County line.

Heavy showers were moving northward through the Gadsden area.

In eastern Mississippi, a long curving line of storms was firing. The heaviest storms were north of Columbus. They could edge into Lamar and Marion Counties.

More showers and storms could form through the overnight hours. Tomorrow looks wet again, but some hope that rain chances will thin by Wednesday.
