Heavy tropical showers are scattered across the northwestern third of Alabama.

You kind of have to stitch an image together of the Columbus MS and Maxwell AFB radars to get the whole picture, since the BMX radar is out.

Northwest of I-50, only scattered showers. Nothing really to write home about in intensity, but if you get under one, it really comes down.

Strong storms over South Central Alabama, with a severe thunderstorm warning for Butler and Crenshaw Counties.

Now there is a lot of action in Mississippi, and we will deal with it later, as it is moving east.

Strong storms in Monroe County MS from Columbus to Aberdeen. This activity is about to affect Lamar County, as well as southern Marion County.

Even stronger storms from Tupelo to Winona and in the Iuka area of Northeast Mississippi.

Storms have departed Lauderdale and Colbert Counties in Northwest Alabama, but a flash flood warning is in effect still.

All of this activity will move into western Alabama later. Be ready for a slew of flash flood warnings.

A flash flood watch continues until 7 a.m. for the northern two thirds of Alabama.
