We are paying a lot of attention to Pickens and Tuscaloosa Counties, but there is plenty of other stuff to talk about.

A line of storms with very heavy rainfall extends from Winston County through western Walker County, Fayette County and into northwestern Tuscaloosa County and into southern Pickens County.

The storm 13 miles west of Tuscaloosa is very organized with a nice inflow notch. It is producing intense rainfall. Heavy rain extends back across much of southern Pickens County.

Overall, the storms have gone downhill, which is good news.

I am not certain the heavy activity will make it to Birmingham with the slow eastward motion. We will have to wait and see.

Intense storms over extreme Northeast Alabama. Other storms with heavy rain extending across Clay and Tallapoosa Counties in East Alabama.

A flash flood watch remains in effect for all of North and Central Alabama until 7 a.m.
