J.B. probably thinks that I am like a blister today. I show up when all the work is done!

Things are calming down across Alabama tonight…for the time being.

All of the flash flood warnings have been canceled. Areas of moderate rain continue over Northwest, Central and Southeast Alabama.

Heavy rain from south of Montgomery over into Barbour County. These storms were quite mean a short time ago, but now they are weakening.

Some heavy showers in eastern Bibb County, heading toward Shelby County.

More showers could develop overnight and they will be likely on Tuesday again. Flash flooding will be a big threat again if heavy rains form. Expecting this, a flash flood watch is in effect for the northern two thirds of the state through 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Be alert to changing weather conditions and keep tuned to an official source of weather information, especially if you are in a flood prone area or planning to travel.

Remember, turn around, don’t drown.
