Rainfall amounts since yesterday afternoon are approaching 3 inches in the area south of Oakman and Parrish in southern Walker County. Additional very heavy rains with rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour are moving over this area.
Be alert to flooding that could rapidly occur.
Fayette County has an areal flood advisory. Heavy rain extends from west of Fayette down to Belk and Kennedy.
