The showers that persisted near the coast spread further northward this afternoon into part of West Central Alabama.
Just before 7, they had spread as far north as Choctaw and South Sumter County.
This included some heavy showers over South Marengo and North Choctaw.
A few stray showers moved as far north as the Millport area in South Lamar County.
At least 80% of Alabama did not get a drop of rain today.
