Here is where the main thunderstorms were in Alabama around 7:15 this evening:
* East part of Lauderdale and Colbert County in Extreme NW Alabama. NWS had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lauderdale until 7
* Over Central Alabama in East Hale and West Perry County. Heavy rain indicated between Greensboro, Moundville and Marion
* Heavy rain near Demopolis and Livingston
Tuscaloosa Airport received only 0.04 rain this afternoon and Birmingham Airport 0.05. That was the first measurable rain for Birmingham so far in July.
In NW Alabama, Muscle Shoals received 0.98 this afternoon including 0.44 in the last hour.
MOBILE DRENCHED AGAIN
At Mobile Regional Airport, an additional 1.97 inches of rain fell this afternoon. That brings them to around 5 inches just in the last 2 or 3 days. So they are getting a quick start on July.
