A long irregular line of thunderstorms cuts across Alabama from the NE to the SW this evening.

The line extended from Chattanooga to Scottsboro, Birmingham, Centreville, Marion to Camden. The strongest storms were along the Blount/Etowah County line in NE Alabama and Western Wilcox County in the SW.

The line was moving eastward but the individual storms were moving quickly to the NE.

A cool front has entered NW and West Alabama. The rain does not stop completely when the front passes. We have some lingering rain Saturday.

However the risk of severe weather pretty much ends with the passage of the cool front.

Check these current temperatures

80 Birmingham, with the line of storms moving through
66 Decatur with a cool light rain
69 Tuscaloosa

Most of Alabama had highs in the 80s today.
