The most intense rain has now shifted east of the Birmingham area but it is still raining over the entire north half of Alabama and the Flash Flood Watch continues until 4 this afternoon.
At 7 am, the heaviest rain (and it was pouring) extended from North Chilton County in Central Alabama northeastward through Talladega and Calhoun County. Moving toward the ENE.
Rain intensity not as heavy now in the Birmingham Area but the Flash Flood Warning continues until 9:45 am. Lots of ponding on roadways and places normally easy to flood.
Lots of accidents. Extra time for morning drive definately recommended.
