Widespread rain is the story very early on this Tuesday morning. Just before daybreak it was raining all the way from East Texas and Arkansas to West Georgia.
There was almost 100 percent coverage across Mississippi and most of Alabama. The heaviest rain was over Southeast Louisiana and just offshore from the Mississippi-Alabama-Northwest Florida Coast.
Movement generally toward the northeast.
