Late this morning, rain was widespread across Alabama but there was a break on the west side of the state from Hale County southward through Marengo, Clarke and Washington County.
The heaviest rain (moderate to heavy) was over East Central Alabama southwestward across the Montgomery area into South Central Alabama.
Lightning is almost a non-issue. Just a few strokes near the coast and offshore.

Quite cool for this time of day. All reporting stations now have temperatures only in the 50s except 61 at Tuscaloosa and 64 in Mobile.
