The strongest storms were over Elmore and Tallapoosa County shortly after noon. NWS has a Significanr Weather Alert for part of that area.
The SPC (Storm Prediction Center) is considering a Severe Thundersorm Watch for part of South and Southeast Alabama into parts of Georgia.
In NE Alabama, the heaviest shower was along the Cherokee-Cleburne County line adjacent to the Georgia border.
At noon, you could draw a line from Demopolis northeastward to Birmingham, Oneonta and Guntersville and find no showers NW of that line.
