Much of North-Central Alabama, including Jefferson and surrounding counties, where it rained much of the morning and the afternoon, now free of showers.
The best group of showers and some thunderstorms is found over SE Alabama, especially from Crenshaw, Pike and Coffee Counties southeastward. Others were over SW Alabama.
In West Alabama, there were isolated showers between Hamilton and Vernon, between Eutaw and Greensboro and over North Choctaw County. Everything was moving SE.
We are keeping one of our 12 weather eyes on some showers and strong thunderstorms advancing toward the ESE. Some of the storms were over Central Mississippi, but the main line of storms, the stronger ones, was still in West-Central Mississippi. Movement is toward the ESE. If this line of storms holds up, it most likely will affect South Mississippi and SW Alabama.
