The line of storms is now entering northwestern Jefferson County. It will move across the Birmingham Metro between now and midnight.

The storms will reach Tuscaloosa in about 45 minutes to an hour.

No severe thunderstorm warnings along the Alabama or eastern Mississippi at this time. Just Significant Weather Advisories. Those are shown in the light blue polygons.

There are severe thunderstorm warnings back along I-55 near and north of Jackson MS. These storms could end up in Southwest Alabama during the overnight hours. The HRRR may turn out to be the big winner in the modeling today, as it made most of these calls.

The stronger storms will have some small hail, lots of lightning, and gusty winds to 40 mph, but they all with have heavy rain.
