Showers, along with some thunderstorms were increasing over about the south half of Alabama this afternoon.
At 3:45 pm, most of the showers were from Bibb and SW Shelby County southward into the extreme south part of the state. Movement was toward the ENE.
The heaviest rain was over South central Alabama generally from Montgomery southward.
To the west, a Tornado Watch has been posted until 10 o’clock tonight for these areas:

A Tornado Warning was issued for two parishes in Central Louisiana. Earlier, several South Mississippi counties had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
Still a chance that some storms in Alabama could become severe as the evening at night goes on. Locally heavy rain also. We will be on watch as long as necessary tonight.
